[coherence-dev] Supported device ++1 // transcoding question

Hi all,

This weekend I installed coherence 0.6.0 on my Arch linux home server,
and all went quite well (build from source, installation and
configuration of the filesystem backend).

My DLNA-client is the Philips 37PFL9903D/10, which can be added to the
list of supported devices.

MP3's are displayed in their folders and are played smoothly. FLAC's are
not played (my TV lists them as not supported).

I do have a question regarding video, since my TV tells me I have no
supported formats on my server (only MPEG 1 and 2 are supported) - I
never read anything about the current state of transcoding in Coherence,
nor about the support for video files.

Is this because Coherence currently does not support video files or
transcoding in general, or because I need to use the advanced backend?
The source of the advanced backend only lists dependencies related to
audio...

THX for your time!

Vincent
PS: I read somewhere that 0.6.2 is to be released soon, but the download
page doesn't list a 0.6.1-release...
