Phil,

Last I looked, Coherence doesn't really support playlists from any
device on any backend, A nasty problem when we think about it. Which
playlist? Which player, which browser, which cookie?. Where is the list
stored? You can look in the various backends code but last I looked,
there's no playlist creation support at all in any linux server (on a
remote database) that I've seen. It's not something I care about but If
I did I'd look at writing a proxy/bridge/whatever to slimserver. They've
got a Web UI to playlists and streaming net radio and other wise
gorgeous browser presentation. Open source (Perl) but tied to their
streaming hardware and MySQL schema. Doable

You might be assuming too much, Phil. How's the "Genre" working or the
Artists->Albums drill down working? For each backend? For each client?
I'm not throwing eggs at Coherence. Coherence doesn't suck and the other
Linux UPnP projects have yet to return from their 'walk about'.

IMO. YMMV, I know nothing.
